Nangang Arsenal 202 and the adjacent wetland are located on the eastern fringe of Taipei Basin and north of Nangang Mountain Range on the south bank of Keelung River. There are two farm ponds within the wetland, Xinzhuangzai Pond and Shanchongpu Pond. They are roughly 900 m apart and both within Arsenal 202 of Manufacturing Center of Armaments Bureau, Ministry of National Defense.

Introduction
This wetland encompasses Shanchongpu Pond on the east and Xinzhuangzai Pond on the west. Both were significant irrigation ponds in Nangang District. They were designated for military use and therefore the ponds and adjacent forests are well preserved and largely undisturbed, making them two of the few natural farm ponds remained inside Taipei City.

Ecological resources of importance
There are 27 rare animal species and 3 rare plants on the current record for this wetland. The fresh water wetland also offers a symbiotic ecosystem for fish and shellfish in the still water farm ponds.
