The wetland is located at the middle reaches of Gaoping River, extending north to the trail, south to Provincial Highway 1 (Gaoping Bridge), west to Zhuliao Creek and east to Gaoping riverbed.

Introduction
To clean the debris along Gaoping River and to treat the wastewater, the area between the bridge on the right bank of Gaoping River and the Old Iron Bridge floodplain is designated as manmade wetland, which is integrated with the natural habitat and public recreational area into Dashu Rail Bridge Constructed Wetland.

Ecological resources of importance
A bird survey has recorded 33 families and 63 species in this wetland, including the king quail, which is a level 2 protected species, as well as 2 dominant species, light-vented bulbul and sparrow. There are also 14 species of amphibians and reptiles, 18 species of Odonatan, 48 species of butterflies and 16 species of fish.
