Features of wetland:
The water source of the Neiliao Important Wetland comes from mountain and forest springs, attracting migratory dragonflies such as the Long-tailed Darter (Sympetrum cordulegaster (Selys, 1883)), Red-veined Darter (Sympetrum fonscolombii Selys, 1840) and Lesser Emperor (Anax parthenope julius Brauer, 1865). Neiliao Important Wetland Park, established in 1993, was the first community in Keelung to have a man-made wetland park. However, after a few years, due to unstable water sources and inadequate management, Neiliao Important Wetland Park often appeared to be overgrown with weeds and its water sources were depleted, seeming to be a dead end for environmental maintenance. After a one-year ecological survey conducted by the Keelung Wild Bird Society in 2010, and with the Yeeu Maow Enterprise Company’s support of the more stable mountain spring water source, mountain spring water was injected into the Neiliao Important Wetland during off-work time at night, which solved the problem of water sources in the wetland and immediately changed the ecology of the Neiliao Important Wetland. In addition, thanks to years of effort by NGOs, the Neiliao Important Wetland successfully won the Ministry of the Interior's recognition as a "local-level important wetland" on December 28, 2020.

Develop an analysis report on important wetlands
According to an investigation, the Neiliao Important Wetland belongs to the Republic of China, the management agency is in the Anle District Office, the land use is divided into parks and children's playgrounds, and due to the needs of the plan, it has been used as a temporary important wetland at the local level, and the important wetland analysis report (draft) is complete.
Replacement of water diversion equipment to stabilize water source
The most important water source of the wetland relies on the assistance of Yumao Enterprise. Since 2012, the water source problem of the Neiliao Important Wetland has been solved, and it has never faced water shortage. In order to stabilize the water source, water diversion equipment will be regularly repaired, and the waterwheel will be repaired in early April. In early July, the volunteers discovered an abnormal decrease in the water source and repaired the leak under the guidance of experts.

Carry out volunteer growth courses, improve commentary and the environmental education promotion system
For the first time in this project, volunteers’ learning materials will be organized and uploaded to the database. Volunteers’ self-guided learning will be improved through these online resources. We will continue to invite professional teachers to conduct advanced courses on the projects required for community participation in wetland management, and to train seed teachers to promote the environmental education and promotion tasks of the Neiliao Important Wetland through successful experiences in schools.

Revised and produced the "Neiliao Important Wetland" e-folder
The "Neiliao Important Wetland" e-folder has been revised and produced in 2019 and will serve as an important publication to promote the Neiliao Important Wetland experience in the future. The experience will be expanded to communities and schools. The community-trained narrators explain the ecology of the Neiliao Important Wetland and the process of community creation. The successful experience of the Neiliao Important Wetland is extended to all communities in Taipei Metro Area, which has become an important field of environmental education. A total of 14 outdoor visits were carried out, including 5 visits by northern groups and 9 visits by Keelung community groups, totaling 630 people.
